Idea Evaluation
Screen a business idea like an investor would — before you spend on it.
Describe a business idea or concept, add up to three supporting documents, and get a structured screening: an overall assessment with pros and cons, competitors, industry trends and segments, opportunities to improve or re-use the idea, and an indicative investor money-value with a buy-or-invest verdict.
Most ideas are judged on gut feeling. Founders are too close to them, colleagues are polite, and a proper market and competitor review takes days of desk research that rarely happens before money and time are committed.
Idea Evaluation gives you that first screening in minutes. You fill in a structured setup — problem, solution, customer benefits, B2B or B2C, industry, segments, why now, business model, the underlying magic, your own industry knowledge and the current phase — and optionally upload pitch decks, plans or spreadsheets.
The analysis combines your input with live web research and returns five sections with text, tables and charts, plus a headline verdict (Weak, Uncertain, Promising or Strong) and an estimated value range. The value is a rough screening estimate, not a formal valuation.
Then keep asking. The Ask a question tab lets you question the analysis directly — which segment to test first, what a competitor does better, what would raise the value — and every answer is saved. Earlier analyses are kept for comparison, and the full report exports to PDF.
The problems it solves
- Gut-feeling decisions — ideas are funded or dropped on opinion, not on a structured view of sense, market and competition.
- Missing desk research — a proper competitor and market scan takes days, so it is skipped until it is too late.
- Blind spots — founders and sponsors are too close to the idea to see the cons, the competition or a better use of it.
- No shared language with investors — it is hard to know how an investor would screen the idea and what drives its value.
What the analysis covers
Overall analysis
A general assessment, the pros and cons, and a direct answer to does this make sense?
Competitors
Existing concepts and companies in the industry, competing concepts in related industries, and how your idea differs.
Industry, trends & segments
The business industry, the market trends that matter and the user or customer segments to target.
Opportunities
How to improve the concept, re-use its unique products or services in a different way, or take it to another industry or segment.
Investor money-value
An indicative value range, the drivers and assumptions behind it, and a buy-or-invest screening verdict. A rough estimate for screening only — not a formal valuation.
From screening to the next step
Use the result to decide whether to proceed, adjust or stop — and carry the idea into The Better Business Project, Chances or Idea Tester when it is worth validating further. AI findings inform human decisions; they do not guarantee business results.
